DAY FOR NIGHT

This daytime scene was shot during nighttime.

Next, I applied white balance and tone corrections. The director of photography requested a soft film look without heavy stylization.

I added light rays to the left corner of the screen to reinforce the illusion of daylight.

I added an effect to the right window to simulate exterior light.

Lastly, I added a slight glow to the left side to add ambience and motion tracked the masks. I added masks and animation to the children on the right hand side of the screen so they could cross over the window.

My client was happy with the outcome of the shot and the scene cut in well with the rest of the film.
